How to Install ITV Hub on Sony Android TV
In the Sony TVs with Android OS, you can install the ITV Hub or ITVX app from the Google Play Store. The app is officially available for all Sony TVs.
1: Turn on your Sony TV and connect it to a WiFi network.
2: Now, press the Home button on your TV remote and select Google Play Store from the Apps section.
3: Select the Search icon on the Play Store and type ITVX or ITV Hub, and search for the app.
4: From the search result, select the app and click the Install button.
5: After installing, open the app on your Sony Android TV.
How to Install ITV Hub on Sony Google TV
In the Sony Google TV, the installation steps for the ITVX app will vary slightly.
1: Connect your Sony Google TV to a WiFi network.
2: Now, press and hold the Mic button or Google Assistant button and say “Open Google Play” or “Google Play.”
3: Now, in the search bar, enter ITVX and search the app.
4: Select the app from the search result and click the Install button.
5: After installing, open the app on your TV.
How to Activate ITV Hub on Sony Smart TV
The ITVX app needs to be activated manually. The direct sign-in option is not available for Sony Smart TV.
1: Open the ITVX app on your Sony TV.
2: In the home screen of the ITVX app, select the Sign In button.
3: An activation code will be displayed on your Sony TV.
4: Now, open a web browser on a PC or Smartphone and visit the ITVX activation website (http://www.itv.com/hub/pair).
5: On the website, click on the Sign in button and enter your login credentials.
6: After entering the credentials, enter the Activation code displayed on the screen.
7: After successful activation, click on the Continue button.
8: After following these steps, you can stream ITVX videos and FIFA matches on your Sony Smart TV.
How to Cast ITV Hub on Sony Smart TV
Sometimes you may not find the app on your TV because of the compatibility or older version. In this case, you can cast your ITVX from mobile to TV.
1: Install the ITVX app on your Android using the Play Store.
2: Open the app and sign in with your login credentials.
3: On the home screen of the app, you can see the Cast icon in the top right corner.
4: Click on it. The list of available devices will be displayed.
5: Select your Sony Smart TV from the available device.
6: After that, start streaming ITVX movies and TV shows on your Sony TV.
FAQs
The ITV Hub or ITVX app is unavailable for older Sony TV models. If you can’t find the ITVX app on Sony TV’s Play Store, you can cast the app from your smartphone.
